Does your municipality send a WOZ assessment?

Not all municipalities also show the WOZ value of their home in their tax assessment for tenants. Yet this can be important, as the WOZ value affects the maximum rent.

The Woonbond received several reports from tenants who informed that their municipality no longer automatically shows the WOZ value on the local tax assessment notice. CDA and VVD cloud debate on temporary letting

On 11 May, the Lower House will once again debate the private member’s bill with which the PvdA and ChristenUnie wanted to put an end to regular temporary rental contracts that are very widely used in the private rental market. The debate on the private member’s bill – which seemed to enjoy broad support – was reopened because the CDA and the VVD, after the earlier debate on the bill, came up with proposals that would end the fixed contract for many tenants in the private rental market. Research: sales of new rental properties down hard

Sales of new-build rental homes collapsed sharply in the first quarter of this year. A total of 1609 of these homes were sold compared to 3770 in the same period a year earlier, reports consultancy Capital Value after research. Read full article in Dutch…
