why rent out your house using rentslam?

why find tenants through us?

Because the people using our service are actively looking for places to live, meaning it’s all going to happen a lot faster using RentSlam. And since we are not a real estate agent, we’re also non-exclusive so you can still look to rent out your house on any listing sites, we like to keep it casual. And if you’d still rather involve a Real Estate agent, that’s cool too.

That deserves a toast!

Once again we found great tenants using Rentslam!
This is the third time that we have found very nice tenants through Rentslam. The tenants who respond are serious and so far always the couples we are looking for. Our apartments have been rented out within 1 to 2 weeks every time. Thank you RentSlam!

Best regards, Nelleke

Rent out your house

This is how you rent out a house – The tips!

clear pictures to browse through

Choosing is easier when there are a bunch of clear pictures to browse through, the more the better. When you are looking for a house, you need all those pictures to determine whether the house is worth viewing. When looking for tenants for your house, make sure that the photos are of high quality and really show what the house looks like. A room that is over-styled only arouses suspicion and feels fake. Also, light is very important, so open the curtains wide on the day you decide to take pictures, and a bit of sunny weather can be helpful too.

Rental houses in the big cities are often not huge castles with gardens and barns. That is why we recommend that you clearly indicate what storage areas there are. So also take pictures of fitted wardrobes, the attic, and the basement.

Be up front about the costs

Tenants scan through pages full of rental properties for days. With all that scrolling, there is a lot of filtering. Therefore, let the searcher know immediately what the rental price excluding bills is for the house. Also clearly state the rest of the costs: gas & electricity, internet, deposit etc. This way they know whether they can afford to rent your property.

Describe your favorite places in the neighborhood

It is important for tenants to know what there is to do in the area. Are there nice restaurants or nightclubs nearby? But also things like schools, public transport, supermarkets, etc. So put this information in the description of the house.

Have property but aren’t management material

Since RentSlam is not a real estate agent, we do not offer property management services. However, we can put you in contact with a trustworthy company that does, for anyone who doesn’t want to do it themselves. If you live out of town or are simply too busy, they can help professionally manage all your properties, be it financial management, technical management or administrative management.

Their genuine care and expertise means you can relax knowing your investment is in good hands.
